Anyone using AI to write minutes?
Hi all, My boss is keen for us to leverage AI to speed up minute writing for the governance committees my team supports. We now record all our zoom meetings to get a transcript, but really only use that as a backup for bits we missed when note-taking during a meeting.
Is anyone using AI to write their minutes? If so, is it to write all/most of the minutes and is it based on the transcript and agenda papers, or is it to just finesse wording drafted by the secretary? Or somewhere in between? How helpful do you find it?

My team attended an AICD webinar on AI and board minutes which was quite useful. We are selective about which meetings we record and it doesn't work with hybrid meetings. If you haven't already, check out the AICD's recent legal opinion: Effective board minutes and the use of AI: A joint statement We primarily use AI to turn notes into meeting minutes, providing past examples of the form and style. For simple, fully online meetings, we will generate a first draft of the minutes using AI. I hope that's helpful!
