AAUS conference - 8/9 October
Hi everyone
Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to the survey. We received sufficient interest to proceed with a face-to-face meeting in Adelaide on 8 and 9 October, with a hybrid option available for those unable to attend in person. As with prior conferences, the first day will commence in the afternoon and the second day will conclude around lunchtime. If there is sufficient interest, we will also organise a dinner on the evening of 8 October for those attending in person.
Jasmine Johnson from UCC is working with Linda and I to explore whether any of the plenary session speakers may be available to meet with AAUS members. We will keep you updated as arrangements progress. Jasmine has also arranged for us to have space at the Flinders University city campus.
Based on the feedback received, we propose focusing the conference discussions on implementation of the new Threshold Standards. It will be valuable to share approaches, challenges and lessons learned to date across institutions.
We will also conduct the annual election during the conference and will contact separately those who expressed an interest in learning more about joining the Executive.
If anyone would like to help us plan the conference, we would welcome your involvement.
