Uni Sec support at Senate/Council

Quick question - do you (a) have a minute secretary attending Senate/Council meetings and to assist with ensuring relevant senior staff are brought into the meeting at required times, OR (b) does Uni Secretary attend alone and take minutes as well as ensure senior staff attendance for required items?

Dear Robyn,
At ACU, we have a Governance Officer who takes minutes and attends to all administrative matters. As Director of Governance, I attend all Senate meetings and assist where required (in addition to presenting relevant governance items on the agenda). We also have a company secretary who is called upon to address other company secretarial matters but whose reporting to Senate also encompasses the cognate role of Chief Operating Officer. We are well represented!
