AI Education for Uni Councils
I'm wondering what your Councils have been doing to keep up to speed with developments in AI.
We had our Chief Information and Digital Officer do a session last October giving a broad outline of our approach as a tool for work; managing the plethora of AI options; and our TEQSA submission on protecting the integrity of awards. We're also planning to have a presentation on our current approach to managing AI in the teaching and learning space this year, both from academic integrity and a preparation for the workplace perspectives.
Our Chancellor has just been at an AICD workshop and is enthusiastic about making sure our Council is on top of this issue. Has your Council articulated what they think is necessary/appropriate for them in the AI governance and implementation space? Are they happy being kept informed by management, or are they wanting a more active role?
Thanks in advance.
Tony
