Disclosing senior executive remuneration outside of the annual report
Hi all, we are working through any improvement actions required to fully align with the new governance principles. I am keen to understand what other universities are already doing or considering introducing in response to Principle 8.2 Remuneration: annually disclose the remuneration of the Vice-Chancellor and senior managers, including a breakdown of their fixed remuneration, any variable remuneration and incentive payments, and other benefits, and
annually disclose whether the Vice-Chancellor or senior managers received material remuneration from a party other than the university. We currently publish executive remuneration in the broad bands in our Annual Report financial statements only. We are thinking about how we can publicly disclose senior executive remuneration in a clearer way, e.g. summarising total remuneration and how it compares to sector benchmarks or government guidelines, disclosing any paid external roles if applicable.
