Dear members of the AAUS,

I hope you are all managing to stay safe and well in what is proving to be another challenging year.

The AAUS Executive met last week to discuss options for the network to come together this year.

• Given that the National Conference on University Governance (NCUG) has been postponed to 11-13 October, we propose to hold the AAUS meeting on Friday 14 October. Can you please advise if this date is suitable?

• We would also like to hold an AAUS meeting earlier in the year, if possible, and would like to test the possibility of holding a meeting on the 12 May 2022. These is one of the dates originally reserved for the NCUG in 2022. The University of Melbourne would be pleased to host the event for any members who can attend in person and we would offer a hybrid service for members who would prefer not to travel.

We would be most grateful if you could please advise of any challenges you foresee with this scheduling.

In particular, given the proximity to the May meeting, we would appreciate your advice on whether travel to Melbourne is possible for you. This will enable us to assess the feasibility of this option.
